Opis
Measure length, width and height in metres or centimetres. Use a single row for a pile, or add up to 50 item rows with quantities. The calculator shows cubic metres before and after an editable packing allowance, then suggests the smallest configured bin capacity that meets the estimate.
- A Gutenberg block and [skip_bin_calculator] shortcode.
- Site-wide bin capacities and default allowance in Settings Eastern Skip Hire Volume Calculator.
- Accessible labelled fields, keyboard controls and responsive layout.
- Calculations run locally in the browser; no API, account, analytics, lead capture, cookies or visitor-data storage.
- No external fonts, images, scripts or libraries.
This estimates volume only. It does not estimate weight, determine accepted materials, quote prices or guarantee that a load fits. Confirm load limits, material acceptance, usable dimensions and availability with your provider. Default capacities are examples; configure sizes your provider offers.
All calculator functionality works without attribution.

Najczęściej zadawane pytania
-
What is the calculation?
-
Each row is length × width × height × quantity, with each dimension converted to metres. Row volumes are summed, then multiplied by (1 + allowance / 100). The suggestion uses the unrounded adjusted volume; displayed totals are rounded to 3 decimal places. Tiny nonzero volumes display as less than 0.001 m³.
-
Does changing the unit reinterpret the numbers?
-
No. Existing dimensions are converted between metres and centimetres so the estimated volume stays the same.
-
What does the packing allowance mean?
-
It adds a chosen percentage for gaps and irregular shapes. The 10% default is an editable planning assumption, not a measured compaction factor. Outer item dimensions may already include substantial empty space.
-
What happens when no configured bin is large enough?
-
The calculator asks the visitor to discuss a larger bin or multiple loads with their provider. It does not promise a particular loading arrangement.
-
Can I change the heading?
-
Use the block sidebar, or [skip_bin_calculator title=”Estimate renovation waste”].
-
Does it save item descriptions or send a lead?
-
No. Inputs are temporary browser state and are lost when the page reloads. The plugin has no lead-capture feature.
-
Is multisite supported?
-
This release supports single-site installs. Network activation and network-wide uninstall cleanup have not been tested or implemented. Check compatibility in a single-site staging install before using it on a live site.
