Lightweight Slider is a free and extremely lightweight responsive image slider which uses custom post types and featured images. An easy to use settings page allows full control over slide height, delay between slides, transition duration and animation type.

Installation
- Choose Plugins > Add New from your WordPress side menu
- Enter ‘lightweight slider’ in the search plugins box
- Click the appropriate ‘Install Now’ button
- Activate the plugin
- Choose Lightweight Slider from your WordPress side menu
- Click ‘Add New’ to add new slides
- Change settings as required
- Add the ‘lightweight-slider-shortcode’ in square brackets to any page on your website

This is the fastest Slider i have ever used. I customized it a bit. Now the transitions are much faster and i also inserted some nice svg arrows and some css optimisations. Now i got a lightning fast Slider with great user experience.
The only limitation that i’m struggling now is if you want to use more than one slider on your website. It seems that you can insert only one slider..? Is there a possibility to insert 2 sliders with different images..?

I had been using a very popular slider, that was updated frequently, and every time got harder to use, also the loading times seemed to be high.
Found Lightweight Slider in google, after search in WP repository offered the most popular (and bloated?) sliders.
If you are looking for easy to use light WP slider plugin, this is (the) one.
This slider also loads fast.
If you want to remove bottom text (and it’s background) of slider you may use this custom CSS:
